Summary | The Hungarian DPA has fined a dentist EUR 1,300. The controller had installed several surveillance cameras in their practice, which permanently recorded employees and patients. The controller had installed the cameras for the purpose of protecting property and individuals. However, in the course of its investigation, the DPA determined that such extensive video surveillance interfered too much with the fundamental freedoms of the data subjects and that the surveillance was therefore unlawful. |
