Details:

Summary The Spanish DPA has fined a private individual. The individual had installed video surveillance cameras in a residential complex that also covered common areas. During its investigation, the DPA found that the individual did not have permission to install the cameras and therefore did not have a valid legal basis for data processing. In addition, the individual failed to provide information about the video surveillance to the data subjects. The original fine of EUR 600 was reduced to EUR 480 due to voluntary payment.
