Summary The Spanish DPA (AEPD) has imposed a fine of EUR 2,500 on a private individual. The controller had installed video surveillance cameras at his house which, among other things, also covered the public space and neighbor properties. The DPA considered this to be a violation of the principle of data minimization. In addition, the information signs regarding the video surveillance were blurred and thus not well readable. The DPA considered this to be a breach of the duty to inform pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR.
